When Tonya Pounds, FNP founded Magnolia Healthcare & Aesthetics, her vision wasn’t simply to open another medical office… rather, it was to create a place where patients feel genuinely known. A place where conversations aren’t rushed, where relationships matter, and where treating the whole person is just as important as treating the symptoms that brought them through the door.

That philosophy has become the heartbeat of Magnolia
Located in the heart of Clayton in Flowers, Magnolia Healthcare & Aesthetics blends comprehensive medical care with modern wellness and aesthetic services under one roof, giving patients the convenience of having trusted providers who understand every aspect of their health journey.
"We wanted Magnolia to feel different from the moment someone walks through the door, healthcare should feel welcoming. It should feel personal. Our patients deserve to be heard, educated, and cared for... not just seen."
Tonya Pounds, FNP
That commitment extends throughout every service Magnolia offers
From a newborn’s very first checkup to lifelong primary care, urgent care visits, chronic disease management, medical weight loss, hormone optimization, DOT/CDL physicals, and preventive wellness, Magnolia Healthcare & Aesthetics is built around one simple philosophy: every patient deserves care as unique as they are. Here, treatment plans are thoughtfully tailored to support each individual’s health journey. For many patients, that journey also includes feeling confident in their own skin.
Magnolia’s aesthetic services have quickly become a favorite throughout Johnston County, offering treatments that enhance natural beauty while maintaining a refreshed, never-overdone appearance. Services include neurotoxin treatments, dermal fillers, microneedling, medical-grade skincare, chemical peels, FDA-monited peptides, and customized skincare plans designed to help patients look as vibrant as they feel.

One of the practice's most popular traditions is #ToxTuesday
Every Tuesday from 4:00–6:00 PM, Magnolia opens its doors for walk-in neurotoxin appointments: no scheduling required. Patients can stop by after work, receive their treatment, and be on their way in just a short visit. It’s become a weekly tradition for many local residents who appreciate the flexibility and convenience of fitting self-care into their busy schedules.
“Life is busy,” Tonya says. “We wanted to remove one more barrier for our patients. If we can make great care more accessible, we’re going to do it.”
That same patient-first mindset has helped Magnolia become more than just a healthcare practice. For many families, it’s become their medical home.
From young adults establishing primary care to busy parents needing same-day appointments, professionals preparing for DOT physicals, individuals pursuing healthier lifestyles through medically supervised weight loss, and patients investing in long-term wellness and confidence, Magnolia meets people wherever they are in life.
The practice also places a strong emphasis on education, empowering patients to understand their options and make informed decisions about their health instead of feeling overwhelmed by medical jargon or pressured into treatments. Perhaps that’s why Magnolia continues to grow almost entirely through word-of-mouth referrals.
Patients frequently describe the office as warm, welcoming, and refreshingly different. They appreciate seeing familiar faces, building lasting relationships with their providers, and receiving care that considers both immediate concerns and long-term wellness. For Tonya, that’s exactly what she hoped Magnolia would become. “I’ve always believed that healthcare is about people first,” she says. “If our patients leave feeling healthier, more confident, and truly cared for, then we’ve done our job.”
As Magnolia Healthcare & Aesthetics continues to grow alongside the Clayton community, that mission remains unchanged: providing exceptional healthcare, personalized wellness solutions, and aesthetic treatments with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
Because at Magnolia, it’s never just about an appointment. It’s about caring for people through every season of life.
