This year’s recognition marks the third time Flowers has
earned the prestigious Community of the Year award, demonstrating the
continued commitment of the entire Flowers team to creating and maintaining an
exceptional community for residents, businesses, and visitors.
Flowers was also recognized with the award for Best
Landscaping Design for a Community, honoring the extensive planning,
maintenance, and attention to detail that goes into the landscaping throughout
Flowers. The Flowers Plantation Foundation team plays an integral role
in this achievement, working throughout every aspect of the community to ensure
its landscaping, common areas, entrances, roadways, and overall appearance
remain as beautiful and well-maintained as possible. Their year-round dedication
is evident throughout Flowers and is an important part of the character and
quality of the community.
In addition, Flowers Superintendent Steven Driver was
named the 2026 NC Superintendent of the Year, recognizing his
leadership, dedication, and significant contributions to the continued growth
and appearance of the community. Driver’s attention to detail and hands-on
approach, combined with his ability to effectively lead Foundation staff and
coordinate with contractors, helps ensure that every aspect of the Flowers
Plantation Foundation remains at the highest level. His commitment to
maintaining high standards throughout the community has made him an invaluable
part of the Flowers team.
“These awards represent much more than individual projects
or accomplishments. They showcase the hard work and dedication of our entire
team throughout the year,” Reid Stephenson, CEO of Flowers Plantation. “To be
recognized as NC Community of the Year for the third time is an incredible
honor and reflects the continued commitment of every division that works
together to make Flowers such a special place.”
The NC HBA STARS Awards recognize excellence throughout
North Carolina’s home building and development industry, honoring outstanding
